List the teaching roles you hold across units, and check which identity you’re signed in as.

Teaching roles

roles (equivalent to roles list) lists the teaching roles you hold across units — each row gives the role, the unit it applies to, and the id OnTrack uses for it. By default it shows active roles only; --all includes roles on units you no longer teach. The role itself is whatever string OnTrack reports for that assignment on the site — it isn’t a fixed set this CLI defines. A student with no teaching roles gets an empty list. Who you’re signed in as

Returns your identity from the current session — username, and where available your name and email — along with the site’s base URL and its authentication method. Unlike auth status, user doesn’t report your unit or role counts; use auth status (see Sign in) when you want to confirm the session itself is live. Full syntax: ontrack user.
