Install only the tool for the platform you use, or all three — they don’t depend on each other.

Prerequisites

Each CLI states its own minimum Node.js version in package.json’s engines field:
1

Install the CLI you need

Moodle
Ed Discussion
OnTrack
2

Each tool has one sign-in command. Moodle and OnTrack borrow a browser session; Ed Discussion uses a personal API token.
Moodle
Ed Discussion
OnTrack
ontrack needs ONTRACK_BASE_URL before it can sign in at all — it has no default site to reach. moodle and edstem ask for what they need (a site origin, a token) the first time a command needs it.
3

Run one read command

Moodle
Ed Discussion
OnTrack
At a terminal, each of these prints a table.
